Former Notable Players: Tim Belcher, Mark Fidrych, Travis Fryman, Carlos Lee, Lance Parrish and Alan Trammell. Notes: This repurposed football stadium is located in the Randolph Complex, built for the return of organized baseball in 1969. The third base side stands are remnants of the old football stadium. It one of the few ballparks where fans are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages as the hillside becomes a picnic area with lawn chairs and blankets spread out. The stadium is also home to the local Virginia High School baseball team. Located in the northern community of the Tri-Cities region, the stadium was named after Chauncey DeVault, a local businessman and long-time Appalachian League President. The playing field was later named in honor of native Boyce Cox, a one-time player and president of the team. |
