Former Notable Players: None Notes: Opening as First Horizon Bank Park, it succeeded the venerable War World Memorial Stadium as the home to Greensboro's South Atlantic League franchise. With the naming rights sold to a financial services company, the $22 million privately funded stadium quickly eclipsed the attendance marks of its cross-town predecessor. NewBridge Bank, a local state-chartered community bank, quickly stepped up to assume the naming rights in 2007 when First Horizon opted out of the remainder of the contract. The stadium was built larger than most Sally League parks should an opportunity to step up Double A ball arise. |
