For the 1982 season the facility was renamed Tulsa County Stadium, when Sutton's business encountered legal and financial difficulties. It was dubbed Drillers Stadium in 1989 after the primary tenants. The original artificial turf was replaced natural surface in 1993. The team moved into a new downtown stadium for the 2010 leaving future of Drillers Stadium uncertain.
