The stadium, nicknamed "The Cove", is named in honor
of Stanley Coveleski, the Hall of Fame spitball pitcher, who retired
from professional baseball, to the area and remained active in local
leagues. In 2013 the playing field naming rights were sold to Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians in ten-year deal earning the name, Four Winds Field, carrying the same branding as nearby casinos. Designed by HOK Sport, it was one of the first minor league
facilities to have the wrap-around, covered concourse that afforded
the fans a view from the concession or souvenir stands.
It is located near the Studebaker Corridor
which is being remediated and rehabilitated as the auto maker's
old factories are replaced with new enterprises.
