Former Notable Players: Mike Cameron, Scott Eyre, Roberto Hernandez, Brad Penny, Justin Upton, and Bob Wickman. Notes: The stadium, nicknamed "The Cove", is named in honor of Stanley Coveleski, the Hall of Fame spitball pitcher, who retired from professional baseball, to the area and remained active in local leagues. Designed by HOK Sport, it was one of the first minor league facilities to have the wrap-around, covered concourse that afforded the fans a view from the concession or souvenir stands. It is located near the Studebaker Corridor, which is being remediated and rehabilitated as the auto maker's old factories are replaced with new enterprises. |
