The HNTB-designed facility is serving as the anchor
for the rehabilitation of Lansing's downtown business district.
Located just across the Grand River from Michigan's state capitol,
brick and polished bare metal park pays homage to the U.S. domestic
auto industry. When it opened the naming rights were sold to Oldsmobile
division of General Motors. In 2010 the facility was rebranded Jackson
Field at Thomas M. Cooley Law School Stadium, as the ballpark named
after Thomas M. Cooley Law School, the largest law school in the
United States, with Jackson National Life Insurance Company sponsoring
the playing field.
