Notes: Located on the banks of the Grand River, this ballpark has increased its capacity five times since it opened. Privately funded, it opened as Old Kent Park, when the naming rights were sold to Old Kent Bank, a local financial institution.  The Ohio-based Fifth Third Bancorp financial institution, acquired the Old Kent Bank in 2001 and rebranded the facility Fifth Third Ballpark. The six million dollar stadium was the result of a ten year effort by two local businessmen to bring professional baseball back to Grand Rapids, after a 40 year absence.
