Former Notable Players: Brady Anderson, Jeff Bagwell, and Roger Clemens. Notes: The Spring Training base of the Cleveland Indians, it played home to Florida State League teams for twenty-five years until 1992. Opened in 1966 as the Boston Red Sox Spring Training, it underwent renovation in 1993, serving as the Indians' Spring Training base until 2009 when they relocated to the Cactus League. During the spring and summer it played host to several Florida State League affilates over the years. The long-term future of the ball park and facility is in doubt as its location on Lake Lulu is becoming more valuable for commercial and residential development. |
