Notes: One of the anchors in the economic rehabilitation of Lowell's industrial decay, the park sits on the University of Massachusetts at Lowell campus on a bluff overlooking the Merrimac River. It is named for the local civic leader who spearheaded the initial redevelopment of Lowell. The HOK-designed stadium features aluminum stands with a brick facade, that fits with the architecture of the nearby Industrial Age-era mills and warehouses.
