Former Notable Players: Notes: Located several blocks from the Gulf of Mexico, at this location Grant Field hosted baseball games for six decades. The Toronto Blue Jays established their Grapefruit League home there in 1977 and remain there to this day. In 1990 the city fathers built Dunedin Stadium on the site of Grant Field, keeping the same playing field. Since 2000, a stream of improvements to the facility have allowed it to meet the expectations of the Spring Training snowbirds, who follow the American League team to Florida each spring. In 2004 the naming rights were sold to Knology, a regional broadband communications provider. Beginning with the 2011 season it was rebranded Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, when a local used car dealer purchased the naming rights for six years. |
