Notes: Home to professional, American Legion, college and textile league teams for eighty years time may be running out for this wooden grandstand ballpark in South Carolina's Upcountry. Abandoned by organized baseball in 1994 for Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, the park has continued to deteriorate. The City of Spartanburg, due to safety concerns, has decided to close the park.  Local preservationists, Friends of Duncan Park, are working to save the park.  It is named after David Duncan, a local Civil War hero and Reconstruction-era businessman.  The park was first lit for night games in 1936.  There are some 582 seats salvaged from Connie Mack Stadium.
