Former Notable Players: Brian Daubach, Butch Huskey, Scott Kazmir, Preston Wilson, Vance Wilson and David Wright. Notes: This 1991 version, located on a flood plain, sits on the site of the home for many years of organized baseball in the South Carolina state capital. The University of South Carolina's baseball stadium is visible beyond the left field stands, only a couple of blocks away. In 2005, the South Atlantic League franchise moved to Greenville Municipal Stadium, succeeding the Southern League franchise which had relocated to Pearl, Mississippi. But the stadium was soon home to a summer college Coastal Plain League team. |
