Former Notable Players: First year of
operation Notes: "The Joe" is built on
the campus of the Hudson Valley Community College. The baseball
stadium is just part of a $13 million dollar sports complex that includes
football and soccer fields, tennis courts and classrooms. The ballpark
is named for the New York State Senate Majority Leader who spearheaded
the drive for the funding as part of a campaign to revitalize Troy and
Rensslear County. The facility was designed by the DLR Group, which
also penned such parks as BellSouth Park, Chatanooga, Tenn.,
Skylands Park, Augusta,
New Jersey and L.P. Frans
Stadium, Hickory, North Carolina.
