Notes: "The Joe" is built on the campus of the Hudson
Valley Community College. The baseball stadium is just part of a $13
million dollar sports complex that includes football and soccer fields, tennis
courts and classrooms. The ballpark is named for the New York State Senate
Majority Leader who spearheaded the drive for the funding as part of a campaign
to revitalize Troy and Rensslear County. The facility was designed by the DLR
Group, which also penned such parks as BellSouth Park, Chatanooga, Tenn., Skylands
Park, Augusta, New Jersey and L.P.
Frans Stadium, Hickory, North Carolina.
