Former Notable Players: Notes: Located at Tigertown, the spring training home of the Detroit Tigers, Joker Marchant Stadium host the Tigers' FSL affiliate during the summer months. The Lakeland Tigers returned after spending the 2002 season down the street at Henley Field, while the facility underwent a ten-million dollar renovation. The improvements included better spectator amenities; additional seating, private suites, an outfield spectator berm, a more spacious concourse, and improved Tigertown practice facilities. The stadium is named for the City of Lakeland former Parks and Recreation Director, Joker Marchant, who spearheaded the effort to build Tigertown. The facility with several sets of clubhouses and practice fields was built on the site of a World War II flight school.
