Former Notable Players: Bronson Arroyo, Jose Castillo, Ian Snell, Dave Williams, Craig Wilson and Jack Wilson. Notes: Opened as Blair County Ballpark, the stadium was built for an Eastern League expansion franchise in the central Pennsylvania's Allegheny Mountains. In tribute to the once locally-based Pennsylvania Railroad's manufacturing and repair facilities, the stadium exterior was modeled after a railroad roundhouse. Beyond the outfield is Lakemont (Amusement) Park, whose main attraction is the restored roller coaster along the fence. In 2012 the naming rights were sold to Peoples Natural Gas, a regional natural gas supplier. |
