Notes: The Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum-designed park takes its name from the historic Ohio Canal which lies just beyond the outfield fence in left field. It is the centerpiece for the revitalization of downtown Akron, which at one time was the center of the tire manufacturing industry. The brick and ironwork takes its inspiration from the surrounding historical buildings.
